Receiving an invitation for an interview is a good thing. But sometimes, sending a reply to such emails can be a bit confusing. These samples will equip you with all you need to know to write a proper acceptance email to an interview invitation. 

Sample 1: Email Accepting an Invitation to Interview

This sample is an acceptance reply for the interview invitation for the post of content marketer.   

Suggested Subject: Interview Confirmation for [title of the job]

Dear Mr. Samuel, 

Thank you very much for the opportunity to interview for the position of Content Marketer. I am interested in learning more about this opportunity and learning more about your company on Friday, the 17th of September at 9 AM. 

I understand that our video conferencing platform is Zoom and the login details will be sent to me a day before the interview. If possible, I would like to know the names of the person I’ll be speaking with and the duration of the interview. 

If there’s any information you need before the interview, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you for your time.

Sample 2: Email Accepting an Invitation to Interview

It’s a good habit to let your prospective employer know you received the email invitation and confirm your availability. Here’s a sample.

Suggested Subject: Confirming availability for [date/time] interview

Dear Mr. Tunde, 

I am writing this email to confirm my availability for the 24th of June, 2022. I am excited to interview for the position of graphics designer at Design Inc. I am looking forward to learning more about this position and about the company. 

 I am also confirming that this interview will take place in your head office located at 19 Lamp Avenue, Boston and the stipulated time is 10 AM. If any of this information is inaccurate, please let me know. 

If there’s anything you’d like me to come with to the interview, kindly let me know beforehand. 
Thank you for your time and I look forward to chatting with you.

Sample 3: Email Accepting Invitation to Interview – Propose Alternate Time

In this sample, the applicant accepts the interview invitation but proposes an alternate time for the interview. Note how he states his reasons for his unavailability on the initial time for the interview. 

Suggested Subject: Interview Confirmation

Dear Mr. Simon, 

Thank you for offering me the opportunity to interview for the position of account manager at XYZ Enterprise. I look forward to talking with you and learning more about this opportunity. 

Due to prior work arrangements, I am unavailable at 9 AM on Monday, August 18. Would it be possible to reschedule to 9 AM on Tuesday, August 19? If this is possible, please let me know. If not, please let me know when next will be convenient. 

I am looking forward to meeting with you.

Sample 4: Email Accepting Invitation to Interview

This is a formal email accepting an interview invitation, where the writer expresses gratitude for the invitation and confirms their attendance. They also offer to prepare for the interview and provide any further information required.

Suggested Subject: Thank you for inviting me for an interview!

Dear [Interviewer’s Name],

Thank you for inviting me for an interview for the position of [Position Name] at [Company Name]. I am delighted to accept the invitation and look forward to meeting you and the rest of the team on [Interview Date and Time].

Please let me know if there is anything I need to prepare before the interview. Also, please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information from my end.

Thank you again for considering me for the position.

Sample 5: Email Accepting Invitation to Interview

In this sample, the email is straightforward while accepting the interview invitation. The writer expresses excitement about the opportunity to learn more about the company and the position. They confirm their availability and ask if any further documentation is required.

Dear [Interviewer’s Name],

I am writing to accept the interview invitation for the [Position Name] role at [Company Name]. I am excited to have the opportunity to speak with you and learn more about the company and the position.
